You must be a current member of the Chamber, either business or individual, to serve on committees.
Ambassadors
The Chamber Ambassadors are volunteers within the Chamber that focus on member retention, engagement and recruitment. This group of volunteers work throughout the year attending events like Business Before and After Hours, ribbon cuttings and Business of the Month presentations to meet potential and new members. They work with new members of the Chamber to introduce them to longtime members and they work with the Chamber staff to recruit new members. The Ambassadors have monthly meetings to discuss upcoming events in the Chamber and the community as well as potential mentoring opportunities.

Annual Banquet
The Annual Banquet is held every November, celebrating accomplishments, recognizing outstanding businesses and individuals, Business of the Month recipients, and installing the new Board of Directors.

Business Affairs
Business Affairs intentionally gets to know all businesses in Kernersville in order to choose a Business of the Month which actively promotes and supports the Chamber and the community and presents the Annual Business Awards in May of each year.

Business Development Series
Provides assistance to small Chamber member businesses in navigating entrepreneurship through programs, educational opportunities, sharing best practices and showcasing small businesses in the area. Meet 4 times a year.

Christmas Parade
The Annual Christmas Parade is held the first Sunday in December in Downtown Kernersville along East and West Mountains Street. Participants in the parade include local businesses, school organizations, and more.

The presidents from each Civic Organization in Kernersville shares Best Practices for meetings, events and speakers. Meets annually.

Downtown
Since 1993, The Kernersville Downtown Committee has been preserving the historic qualities of downtown Kernersville and preventing the deterioration of the central business district. As a non-profit community and preservation organization, we invite you to learn more about us and how you can support our organization and programs. Magnolias and Mimosas, Sidewalk Saturday, Holiday Open House, Christmas around Kernersville,July 4th and Veterans Day Door Decorating, etc. Meets monthly.

EDAC
EDAC identifies corridors with potential for redevelopment, examine current model for Economic Development, be proactive in finding markets for economic development through leads from existing industry, and work with small manufacturers and family owned businesses to influence and encourage our ecnonomy. Education Grants
Teachers in the community submit applications anonymously to the Kernersville Chamber Education Grants Committee in hopes to receive an education grant. By sponsoring a grant, the money goes right back into a local classroom to support our teachers.

Evening Golf
Evening Golf provides an opportunity for those that enjoy golf, to network, connect and develop lon-term relationsjhips through an evening golf league. Meets twice a year.

Golf Tournament
The Annual Golf Tournament is held at Pine Knoll's Golf Course and is open to members and nonmembers. There is a morning and afternoon tee time. The Chamber's major fundraiser through a high-level golf tournament which includes specialty holes and a putting contest, on a local, world class golf course. Meets monthly May through September.

Governmental Affairs
Governmental Affairs is to make our local business community better informed and more aware of the impact of the government on commerce, while advocating for the betterment of business interests in our community with information, education, and provision of networking opportunities for members, with the goal of bridging the gap between government and commerce in our community through opportunities for in-person and virtual communication with our government leaders, guidance to businesses on the effect of government policies on local commerce, and forums for political leaders to share their plans and visions for our community. Meets 8 times a year.

Wellness & Career Showcase
The Healthy Living & Business Expo is held at the Kernersville Family YMCA. Vendors set up tables with materials that help promote a healthy lifestyle and businesses through an expo style event.

Kernersville Connects
Kernersville Connects gives interested high school students work skills that will set them up for a successful future by matching students from East Forsyth and Glenn High schools with a paid internship offered by Kernersville Chamber member companies. Program includes a soft-skills course and a paid, part-time internship offered over a minimum 6 week or 120 hours. Meets monthly.

KDPDC
Kernersville Downtown Preservation and Development Council is a housing rehabilitation in Kernersville, NC whose mission is: Promotion activities for Downtown Kernersville.

Leadership Kernersville
Leadership Kernersville consists of approximately 20 of Kernersville's emerging leaders. Participants meet once a month, August-May to learn about the different faces that make up our community.

Music at Twilight
Music at Twilight is a summer concert series held monthly May-August at Paul J. Ciener Botanical Gardens. The event is open to the community with a reach of an average of 200 guests. Beer, food, and wine area available for purchase.

Recycle Day
Recycle Day takes place in April each year at Town Hall/Chamber parking lot from 9 am to 1 pm. Local area residents can drop off items that need to be recycled- including a shredding service, electronics disposal, and other bulk items.

Spring Folly
The Spring Folly is held the first weekend in May, in Downtown Kernersville and is free to the community. The events attract 30,000 people consisting of: carnival rides, vendors, live music, food, live entertainment, and much more.

Young Professionals
This committee is currently fully staffed. The Young Professionals of Kernersville fosters an environment for young professionals, ages 18-39 that is energized, engaged, and empowered to continue the legacy of leadership, progress, and growth that has helped shape Kernersville. Annual Grown-up Spelling Bee, Finance and Frolic, Korner's Folly Victorian Christmas, Bright Beginnings, etc. Meets monthly.
